Instructions to researchers on how to prepare researches

Researchers should submit their research electronically through the research submission system and on the   Athar Al-Rafedain Journal  website through this link.
 AARJ Website:  www.athar.mosuljournals.com

1: Submission of the research:
1-1: Requirements for submitting research for the first time:
Researchers can choose to submit the research as a single file to be used for the evaluation process.
1-2: Requirements for submitting the revised research:
When the research presented to be published at the stage of correction after the evaluation, researchers will be asked to amend the research in the correct form required by the journal in order to accept the publication as well as provide the journal with any additional elements aligned with the foundations of scientific publishing for research adopted by Athar Al-Rafedain Journal.

1-3: Instructors' names guidelines:
The names of researchers should be assigned to the research based on (1) substantial contributions to study design, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, (2) modifying or revising the research in a fundamental way to the intellectual content, (3) final approval of the final version sent for publication. All conditions above must be fulfilled by all researchers registered in the research. Obtaining funding, data collection, or general supervision of the research group is not enough for the name of the researcher to be mentioned among the names of the participants in the research authorship. Therefore, the contributors to the research who do not have the previously defined criteria can be added in the thanks and appreciation part. All researchers must agree to the sequence of researchers listed before submitting the research for publication. It must also be agreed upon by them to assign a researcher of them to be responsible for contacting, and who will also be responsible for arranging the entire research based on the requirements of the journal as well as speaking with the participating researchers during the evaluation and linguistic review stage.

2- Before Starting
2-1 The morals of publishing in Athar al-Rafedain Journal:
The ethical policy of Athar Al-Rafedain Journal is based on the guidelines issued by the Publication Ethics Committee (COPE) which comply with the codes of conduct adopted by the editorial board of the journal. Therefore, readers, researchers, residents, and members of the editorial board should follow these ethical policies once they start working for the journal. The ethical policy approved by the journal is responsible for determining what kind of research papers or scientific research submitted to the journal should be published. The decision to publish in the Athar Al-Rafedain journal is based on the recommendations of the evaluators and the opinions of the members of the magazine's editorial board. The ethical policy of Athar Al-Rafedain journal also emphasized that the editor-in-chief may consult with members of the editorial board or other evaluators in making the decision regarding acceptance of publication. The evaluators are responsible for reviewing and evaluating the research must adhere to the content provided confidentially. The scientific evaluator also may give suggestions to researchers in order to improve the quality of the research through the comments of the evaluators. Researchers should ensure that their research sent for publication is original, not previously published in a journal or in another language. This kind of plagiarism constitutes unethical publishing behavior and this behavior is unacceptable. For information about publication ethics follow the following link: https://athar.mosuljournals.com/journal/process?ethics

2-2: Research evaluation process:
In order to maintain the research evaluation system, researchers are obligated to participate in the scientific research evaluation process sent by other researchers. When needed, the authors may be obligated to provide one or a group of evaluators to the editorial board or director. Athar Al-Rafedain journal reviews all research submitted for publication with at least two evaluators. The journal also adopts a double covered review policy: researchers do not know who is responsible for the evaluation, and evaluators also do not know who is responsible for the research. The process of evaluating research is done through the online research submission system. After submitting the research to the system via the Internet, the system immediately notifies the editor-in-chief by sending a paper for publication in the magazine. After a preliminary examination of the research by the editorial office, two or more evaluators are assigned to conduct the evaluation of the research. After completing the evaluation process and receiving the reports of the scientific evaluation, the editor-in-chief will make a decision regarding this research, as sometimes the evaluators may not agree with each other about the evaluation of the research, so in exceptional cases the report of the evaluation of the research may not reflect the final decision sent to the editor-in-chief by the evaluator. This decision, after each evaluation round, may be one of the following:
1. Accepting the research without any other changes.
2. Accepting the research with slight corrections. The research may or may not be sent for final correction to the evaluators for another round of corrections.
3. Accepting the research with major corrections. The research is sent with the final correction to the evaluators for another round of corrections.
4. Refusal to publish the research submitted for publication in the Journal of Athar Al-Rafedain
5. Inability to evaluate the research. Another evaluator is re-assigned to scientifically evaluate the research.

2-3: Evaluation of research before publication:
In addition to the initial evaluation process, Athar Al-Rafedain journal evaluates research before it is published in its final form by the editor of the journal and members of the editorial board. This evaluation works to ensure the quality of the published research and to meet certain criteria in addition to the conclusions presented in this research have been justified. This stage includes online comments and citations on the published papers. Researchers respond to comments from the scientific community and may review their research. This method is described as allowing researchers to quickly publish topics in Archaeology.

3: Preparing the research paper:
The research must be submitted in either Arabic or English, and it must be written according to the appropriate rules of writing and spelling. 12: Preventing plagiarism and violating publication ethics:
All research that is subject to evaluation process or has been published previously is subject to examination using a plagiarism prevention program. Plagiarism is a serious violation of publishing ethics. Other violations include repeated research, data processing and forgery, and inappropriate credit for the researcher's contribution. Therefore, impersonation, fraud, or inaccurate data intentionally constitutes immoral and unacceptable behavior and the same research is submitted to more than one journal simultaneously in an unethical and unacceptable publication behavior. It is necessary to mention that the Athar Al-Rafedain Journal ignores the research version in which the percentage of inference reaches 20%.
Crosscheck has developed a service that helps editors verify the authenticity of research; CrossCheck is run by iParadigms Ithenticate. For a searchable list of all journals in the CrossCheck database, please visit: www.ithenticate.com/search
All new research sent to Athar Al-Rafedain journal is automatically checked using Crosscheck inside the editing system. The editorial board member can also choose to run the similarity report at any other point during the review or post-publishing process. 14: Using the digital identification number:
The digital ID number can be used to cite and link electronic documents, which are comprised of a unique alphanumeric and character string that is set to search upon electronic publishing. These numbers never change, and researchers can use the digital ID number to create links to documents on the web.

15: International Creativity Foundation:
Allow others to distribute and copy research, create extracts, summaries, and other revised versions or amendments or works derived from research (such as translation), to include teamwork, as long as they attribute to the researchers of these works, the researcher does not represent that he supports their adaptation to the material, and they do not modify this material in a way Damage to the author's honor or reputation. More details are available at: Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0). Athar Al-Rafedain journal reserves the copyright of the published papers in it, which are issued under "Creative License," which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction of research by any means, provided that the original file was cited in the work correctly.

16: Research Fees:
Publishing in journals with free publishing gives a relatively new template for publishing scholarly journals that provide barrier-free access around the world to the full text of all published research. It also provides free access to all interested readers to view, download, print, and redistribute any research without subscribing to the journal’s website, which provides a much greater distribution to researchers ’work than the traditional publishing model based on subscription to the magazine’s website or the paper publishing system.
In journales that follow the free access method, publishing costs are paid from the researcher's budget or researchers who published the research, or by the institution in which the researcher works. Athar Al-Rafedain journal is one of the free access journals, therefore publishing the research in this magazine requires paying (1000000) Iraqi dinars only to publish the accepted research, In addition, 15000 IQD is added for the plagiarism check program.
