Abstract
Beer is considered as one of the important food industries that became famous in ancient Iraq and it represents the first drink for the inhabitants of Mesopotamia, as indicated by artistic scenes especially the scenes of cylindrical seals as well as cuneiform sources represented by texts and messages discovered that referred in some of their contents to the brewer and barley in accordance to material and written evidence.
This industry in Mesopotamia seems to have been managed by the women particularly and this industry depends mainly in its preparation on barley and wheat. However, barley is the main material of the industry.
